Pierre Martin, a renowned professor of quantum physics, has adopted a highly optimistic life philosophy. One day, he inherits an inn in the Saguenay region of Quebec. To become the owner, he must reside there for at least a year. He therefore decides to move to La Belle Province with his daughter, Catherine, a somewhat cantankerous thirty-something.
