Evelyn Wang runs a laundromat with her husband, Waymond, who wants a divorce. Evelyn is at her wit's end. That's when she meets Alpha Waymond, an alternate version of Waymond. He explains that many parallel universes exist, because every choice made creates a new one. The inhabitants of the Alphaverse have developed technology that allows them to access the skills, memories, and bodies of their counterparts in the parallel universe.
