Rodney, a young, idealistic and talented robot, leaves his native slum for the capital, Robotville, to present his invention to his idol, Bigwel, the most brilliant inventor and benefactor of all robots. However, upon his arrival, Bigwel mysteriously disappears. He is replaced by Ratchet, a new, capitalist and tyrannical boss whose motto is innovation.
