In Clearwater, a small Texas town, the four Elder brothers have a bad reputation. Returning to the area after a long absence, Tom, Matt, and Bud wait at the train station, under the suspicious eye of Sheriff Billy Wilson and his fiery deputy, Ben, for the arrival of their eldest son, John. Disappointed not to see him get off the train, the three converge on the cemetery where Katie, their mother, will be buried.
