The best friend of FBI agent and cybersecurity specialist John Shaft Jr. is murdered. Suddenly the brilliant and hardened federal agent is drawn into a case that hits close to home. Shaft Jr. seeks the aid of his father, John Shaft II, a tough former New York police officer. They join forces to navigate the dangerous world of the Harlem underground to solve a homicide with much bigger implications than a simple, one-off murder. Both men find it necessary to enlist the help of the original John Shaft, a legendary private detective who took on the mob in the 1970s.
